Pricing

How pricing works

Licence pricing is quoted per organisation, because two inputs vary too much to put on a table: what you deploy, and how much estate it covers. Here is exactly how a quote is built.

Three inputs decide the number

Packaging

Plug-in or Enterprise bundle

The plug-in is the Semantic Scout Harvester and UI beside the catalog and quality tools you already own. The Enterprise bundle delivers catalog, quality, and lineage together, pre-wired.

Deployment

Where it runs

Self-managed, dedicated SaaS, your VPC, or fully on-premise. The model you choose changes what we operate and what you operate, and that changes the price.

Scale

How much estate it covers

Tiered by asset count, connectors, and users, with optional add-ons for premium scanners and AI summaries.

A quote is a conversation, not a procurement project. You will leave the first call knowing the shape of the number.

Start small

Most customers start with a pilot: fixed scope, fixed length, your estate. The licence conversation happens after you have seen your own lineage — which is the only demo that settles the question.

Advisory services

Metadata Advisory Services are scoped and priced separately — fixed-scope engagements with a clear deliverable, available with or without a licence.

Pricing questions

Why are there no prices on this page?

Because two organisations with the same headcount can differ tenfold in assets, connectors, and deployment constraints. A number without those inputs would be fiction. The conversation that produces a real number takes about thirty minutes.

Is there a free trial?

Not yet. Semantic Scout deploys into your environment, so the honest entry point is a pilot on your own estate rather than a sandbox that proves nothing about it.

What does a pilot involve commercially?

Case by case. Once you send a pilot request we discuss what it should prove, then agree scope, duration, and commercial terms together before any work starts. Pilots are deliberately small and time-boxed.

Do you charge for adaptors to niche systems?

Custom adaptors are scoped case by case — some are roadmap items we build anyway, others are engagements. We will tell you which one yours is.

Can we buy advisory without the product?

Yes. Metadata Advisory Services are scoped and priced separately, and do not require a Semantic Scout licence.

See it on your own estate

A 30-minute demo shows the product. A pilot shows your own lineage, built from your own repositories.
