Why we exist
We started Semantic Scout with a simple belief: as LLMs, self-service analytics, and agentic workflows multiply, teams need governance that stays evergreen without manual effort.
Our mission is to make intelligent data governance effortless — so every company can move faster with AI, without compromising trust.
How we got here
We built alongside design partners in regulated industries — first proving automated metadata at a Nordic telecom, then earning a licence from a Nordic bank for business lineage and mainframe understanding.
Manual lineage stitching, stale catalogs, and audit scramble became a product that updates itself and explains itself.
What we hold to
Evidence over assurances
We sell to auditors’ customers. Claims on this site are written so that a diligence reader can test them — and we take claims down when they stop being true.
Automation first
Governance that depends on human discipline decays. Governance that runs itself compounds. Everything we build is judged against that.
Metadata only
We never need your business data. That is an architectural choice rather than a policy promise, which is why it survives contact with a security review.
Built where we sell
Stockholm-based, EU-resident by default, designed against European regulation rather than retrofitted to it.
